St. John's Wort, the name of which comes from the St. John the Baptist, is the most famous of the Midsummer herbs. This wiry herb grows 1 to 3 feet and blooms mid to late summer with small, bright yellow flowers. A Mid Summer Herb: traditionally harvested on Mid Summer's day for rituals and celebrations of that day. Magickally known for protection, romance, sun rituals to name a few.
