Goldstone - Also called Brown or Red Goldstone
Goldstone is a glittering man made glass energy stone, not a true gemstone but often referred to as one. These stones are also known, historically, as Gold Star Glass and Aventurine. (Later, Aventurine was given to minerals similar to glass in looks such as Green Aventurine.)
Goldstone is made from ground quartz or quartz sand melted down with copper salts added and as they cool, the gold flecks appear. The most common color is the red-sand-brown with tiny copper-gold flecks throughout. In the darker green (green made from chromium oxide) and blue (blue made from cobalt) goldstones, silver flecks are produced.
